Odd objects, free to a loving home

amal.substack.com

Cleaning out nooks and crannies as we pack, I have come upon a couple of Odd Objects of Definitive Style and Pleasing Weight, but which are definitely not destined to remain with me.

The top one is an enamel pin depicting a brain on puppet strings; the bottom one is “a perplexing depiction of, or extrapolation on, the Shigir Idol.” Both items were mailings from The Mysterious Package Co. that I’ve somehow only just unboxed.

Do either of these call out to you across vast distance? If so, comment below—I’ll mail one or both to the first person who wants them.

My gods, I love the idol! But I think someone else will love it more than I. ;-)

Both items are gone, and that's quite alright! May they inspire stories. Are you staying within the same area, or wandering the Canadian wilds?
